In a new interview with the Rolling Stone Podcast Music Now, Reiner talked about how the two musical giants became involved in the most anticipated rock movie ‘N’ Roll of the year/decade/century.
“I contacted Paul McCartney, contacted Elton John, and they said yes right away,”Reiner tells Brian Hiatt from Rolling Stone. “They did not hesitate at all.”
“The interesting thing about Paul’s scene [McCartney] It is that it is based on something that really happened, “Reiner reveals.” There is a test complex in the valley with a lot of trial rooms and scenarios where the bands are prepared for their concerts, and Spinal Tap was preparing for one of its concerts.
