After the death of his mother: Stefan Mross with moving words in TV show

Stefan Mross (49) showed himself emotionally after the death of his mother Stefanie. When he returned after a missed edition, the audience greeted him with a lot of applause. With tremors in the voice and tears in his eyes, Mross was aimed at the audience. “It will be a little different program today,” he said. The emotions from the past few weeks “can only understand those who have just witnessed it,” said Mross.

In moving words, he reminded of his parents: “It was very, very important to my mom – also my dad, who went from us almost for the same day 15 years ago – that I can simply make people happy. And that’s why I am here with a little smile today,” said Mross at the season finale.

Then the show started with the intro as usual. Mross welcomed hit stars like Beatrice Egli and Nicole. Inka Bause, Ronja Forcher and Julian David also entered the stage.

Ex -wife Stefanie Hertel (46) had represented Stefan Mross last week – “at the express request” by MROSS, as the SWR announced. The moderator therefore took “a family break to be in the circle of his loved ones in difficult hours”. Mross’ mother died at the age of 85 in her homeland in Upper Bavaria.

For MROSS it was the last time “again and again on Sundays” this year. On September 7, according to SWR, a best-of will follow the highlights of this year’s programs. According to the broadcaster, the next “always on Sundays” season will probably begin in June 2026.

Stefan Mross presents the ARD show “Again and again on Sundays” from the Europa-Park in Rust and welcomes changing guests from the hit scene in the summer months. The show celebrated its premiere in 1995.
