Due to alleged rape: Gérard Depardieu has to go back to court

Gérard Depardieu (76) will soon have to answer to court in France. The drama star is charged with rape and sexual attacks on actress Charlotte Arn shoulded (29) before the Paris Criminal Court, citing the AFP news agency.

“Seven years later, seven years of horror and hell … I think it is difficult for me to understand how big it is. I’m relieved,” said Arnoild.

“My client and I are relieved and confident. This is a moment of judicial truth for Charlotte while waiting for the criminal trial,” added Arn so lawyer Carine Durrieu-Diebolt.

Depardieu was guilty of sexual abuse by two women in May of this year. The French film star was sentenced to an 18-month suspended sentence for attacks on a 54-year-old set decorator and a 34-year-old director’s assistant during the filming of the feature film “Les Volets Verts” in Paris in September 2021.

In addition, psychological treatment and depardieus registration as sexual offenders ordered the court. The film star, who participated in over 200 films and series, was sentenced for the first time for sexual violence. An appeal procedure is still pending.

Around 20 women have raised allegations of abuse against the acting star in the past. However, several procedures were discontinued due to an limitation period.
