Janin Ullmann, Amira Aly and Jenny Augusta talk about designer pieces, shopping habits and unfulfilled fashion dreams.
Many women have a special passion for shoes or handbags, Janin Ullmann (43), on the other hand, cannot get enough of jackets. “I have a real jackets ticket!” Laughs the moderator at the 15-year anniversary event in the designer Outlet Berlin. “Jackets make a look completely and can determine whether you look casual, chic, or sexy.”
Designer favorites and special memorabilia
Together with their colleagues Amira Aly (32) and Jenny Augusta (31), Janin Ullmann grants exclusive insights into their wardrobe on the edge of the event, in which very special designer pieces can also be found. “I still know that at the very beginning of my career I bought a superteors of olive-colored long coat,” recalls the 43-year-old. “Since I grew up in a rather simple background in a prefabricated building, I had a guilty conscience directly. To this day, I only spend sparkling money for designer things.”
Your most expensive designer piece is still a black trio bag from Celine. “I went to the store for about half a year and thought about whether I would like to spend so much money on a bag until a friend said to me: ‘You have worked so much this year, now treat you something!’ I have been wearing my bag with me almost every day for over eight years and she always makes me a good mood, “says the moderator.
Amira Aly fulfilled the desire for a special watch. “I had been wished for it for a long time and knew that she was also a good investment. That’s why I just added it at some point.” A Goyard Saint Louis GM BAG belongs to Jenny Augusta’s most expensive designer pieces. “A very classic bag that I still love and that always accompanies me while traveling – it is practical and at the same time elegant.”
Dear quality instead of quantity
In total, Augusta has six designer handbags. “I prefer to rely on quality than quantity,” explains the 31-year-old. Ullmann looks similar. “Either I wear my Celine Trio-Bag or my very old mansur Gavriel dead bag. It already has so many scratches and the handles fall apart, but it’s the best bag in the world.” Amira Aly has even separated from some “because they were unaffected in the closet for years”. Until recently there were 14. “Now there are still about six, all pieces that I really love and wear regularly.”
The celebrity trio itself browsed between the festive cake cut, various food stations with culinary highlights through the designer Outlet Berlin, an open-air setting designed in traditional village with over 100 international brands from the areas of fashion, sports, lifestyle and home & living. For Ullmann, a welcome change from your shopping habits. “Most of the time I actually shop online – very relaxed from home, with a cappuccino and good music,” said the moderator. “But sometimes I also enjoy browsing on site, let me inspire and take the advice with you.”
When it comes to advice, Aly mainly relies on her partner Christian Düren (35). “He advises me best – and frankly, he often has a better view of details than I do,” the mother of two tells you laughing. Augusta, on the other hand, prefers to go shopping alone: ”Then I am completely with myself and can make a decision in peace. Sometimes my stylist, who knows me perfectly and knows exactly what suits me.”
They still want to fulfill these fashion dreams
And which shopping dreams are still on the list? Ullmann does not have to think long: “The Tiffany Hardwear Ohrrings in yellow gold. They are simply beautiful.” Aly thinks about a new clock, but emphasizes: “There are more important investments – you don’t have to have everything right away.” Augusta has long overview the Bottega SAC Andiamo: “A timeless, luxurious, yet modern bag – but so far I have not been able to get through to buy it.”
