Cardi B achieved a victory in a civil process. The jury stood on the side of the rap. It could have been expensive for them.
U.S. rapper Cardi B (32) gained a victory in a civil process for allegations of bodily harm and has thus avoided paying compensation. The singer released a jury in California in a unanimous judgment, as the broadcaster Court TV reported. Cardi B had testified in the process and denied the allegations against them.
The court dispute revolved around an incident in 2018. The rapper (“Bodak Yellow”), which was pregnant with her first child, had visited a doctor’s office in Beverly Hills. A security employee in the building stated that she was assaulted by the musician and injured. Among other things, Cardi B spat on her and injured her fingernails on her face. The woman demanded compensation in the millions. The incident was traumatic, and she also lost her job afterwards, the applicant asserted.
Cardi B rejects the allegations
Cardi B vehemently contested the supposedly physical attack. She felt pressured by the woman who probably made a video with her smartphone. The Grammy award winner admitted that there was a verbal argument, but she did not touch her. Cardi B was married to rapper offset at the time, they expected their first child.
