The chorus of the world hit “Creep” is so well known that not only fans can not sing him along. In Berlin this will soon also go live.
After several years of break, the British rock band Radiohead comes to Germany for four concerts this year. The concerts will take place on December 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th – all in the Uber Arena in Berlin. 16 more shows are planned this winter in Madrid, Bologna, London and Copenhagen.
According to the Beggars Group record company, fans must first register for tickets on the official website of the band. Registration start this Friday, September 5th at 11:00 a.m. German time and close after 72 hours. The actual ticket sale then begins on September 12th.
Drummer Philip Selway said in a message addressed to fans: “Last year we came together for rehearsals, just for fun. After a seven -year break, it felt really good to play the songs and to restore the connection to a musical identity that is deeply anchored in all of us.”
With songs such as “Karma Police” and “Creep”, Radiohead gained worldwide awareness in the 1990s. In 2022, singer Thom Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood founded the project The Smile together with jazz drummer Tom Skinner. In July 2024, The Smile had to cancel planned European concerts because Jonny Greenwood fell ill and was temporarily treated in the intensive care unit.
