Lola tung talks about dating in 2025 and reveals what her role in “The summer when I became beautiful” she taught her about love.
Lola Tung (22) watch millions of spectators at the prime video success series “The summer when I became beautiful” at the Liebschaos between two brothers. In an interview with that, she now spoke about what she learned for real life through her complicated TV romance. Her conclusion about the dating in 2025 is quite sobering.
“It’s hard out there,” confesses with a laugh when the conversation comes to her love life. The young actress makes no secret of the fact that she has her problems with modern dating-in-plenty. “I’m not a app type. They have always frightened me, even during my college time.” While her friends wiped happily through dating apps, she preferred to stay a spectator: “My friends then said: ‘Let’s play Tinder’ and scroll through her profiles. I only looked over her shoulders.”
What Belly taught her about men
It was their series role that taught tung an important lesson about relationships. In the series, her figure Belly navigates through a dramatic love triangle between the brothers Jeremiah and Conrad Fisher – played by Gavin Casalegno (26) and Christopher Briney (27). “Some men just need more time to mature,” is their conclusion after the emotional back and forth of their figure.
Instead of bending the pressure, quickly finding the perfect partner, preaching serenity: she believes that everything comes at the right time. “We are so quick to drive things in life. One of my friends said: ‘I can hardly wait until we are in our thirty.’ But I say: ‘I don’t!
Between reality and fiction
This relaxed attitude towards love clearly distinguishes your serial figure Belly. While the fictional teenager is torn between two men, the real Lola remains pragmatic. “I can’t really identify with Belly about my own dating life, but I learned from what the figure did,” she explains.
The series based on the novels by Jenny Han is approaching its third season. Tung remembers exactly the moment when she read the books for the first time during her studies at Carnegie Mellon University: “There was this really dramatic individual tear that rolled over my cheek. I love this world so much. If I were not on this show, I would look it.”
For fans who are passionate about the love triangle, tion has understanding, even if she usually stays offline: “Sometimes I can really get upset about things,” she admits. Nevertheless, she defends her figure: “Belly is simply misunderstood.” They appreciate films and series, “in which you can see faulty female characters. Sometimes you get annoyed about them, but you keep looking because you think: ‘This is so raw and interesting to look at.'”
