“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner plays with her new role in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.
The British actress Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones”) takes on the role of action heroine Lara Croft for a new series. The 29-year-old joins the new “Tomb Raider” series of the screenwriter and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), the film production company Amazon MGM Studios said on Instagram. Directed by Jonathan van Tulleken (“Shōgun”).
Due to her role as Sansa Stark, Turner became known in the fantasy saga “Game of Thrones”. With her new role as an adventurer Lara Croft, she steps into the footsteps of Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, who had embodied the computer game heroine in three “Tomb Raider” films in front of her.
The computer games with heroine Lara Croft were already a success in the mid -1990s. Angelina Jolie played the title role 2001 and 2003. 2018. Vikander was seen in the role of the action hero.
