Jack Osbourne (39) speaks extremely emotionally about the loss of his father Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025). “A personal note to the loss of my father before I continue,” he calls the video message in which he is aimed at your fans on YouTube.



He says that he visited his father Ozzy in England in the summer shortly before his death and left it again less than ten days before his death. “My father was great,” he recalls the last moments together, “he was in a good mood and happy.”

In the middle of the night someone knocked on the door

On July 13, Jack Osbourne traveled back to his home country Los Angeles in the USA. There the 39-year-old received the devastating message on July 22nd in the middle of the night: “I was woken up in Los Angeles around 3:45 a.m. by knocking on my doorstep. Someone who has been working for my family for about 30 years patted my door. When I looked through my window and saw that it was, I knew something bad had happened.”


Visibly moved, Jack continued with tears: “I was informed that my father died.” He paused to process the moment and explained that he immediately felt deep grief and pain. After the sad news of his father’s death, Jack immediately booked a flight back to England, as he tells.

Jack Osbourne, who himself is a four -time father, also speaks about the close relationship with his father: “He was not just a father for me. He was my colleague. We worked together in so many functions.” And more: “I had recently moved, had no permanent residence for a while and then moved in again. He was my roommate when I was in late 30, and it was great. The children and I lived here. He was a friend, a SMS buddy, a joke.”




In his 16-minute monologue, Jack Osbourne only finds praise for Ozzy, keeping tears. “He was funny, strange, awkward and clumsy and simply hilarious and so sensitive.” The farewell had “perfection”. “He achieved so much before it came to the end.”


On July 22, the rock star died at home in British Buckinghamshire in connection with cardiac arrest in connection with coronary heart disease and Parkinson’s with autonomous dysfunction. A few weeks before his death, he gave a large benefit concert in his hometown Birmingham.

At the end of the video, Jack Osbourne emphasized that his father’s heir would live on and would not end with his death. “He explodes through the universe, and we all see it. So I just close with the following: Thank you.”
