Cardi B refused to perform super bowl-with back door
Rap superstar Cardi B sees her second album in front of a career restart. And speaks of an appearance at the Super Bowl – to which she has already said no.
It is considered one of the largest stages in the music world and a gigantic media event: the half-time show of the annual football final Super Bowl. Rapper Cardi B (32), however, said no to this occasion: “I was asked if I wanted to appear at the Super Bowl and I declined,” she told the “Billboard” magazine. But she could well imagine that for the future: then she will “have more hits”. And: “I will be even more experienced.”
The 32-year-old is one of the most successful US rappers (“Bodak Yellow”, “Wap”). After her debut “Invasion of Privacy” from 2018, she will publish her second studio album “Am I The Drama?” In two weeks. “I’m restarting in my career,” said Cardi B. “I took a break and am now about to return.” She will play a tour and perform a lot that she has not done for a long time.
She also dares to restart her private life. “When I was last on tour, I had a child – now I have three children. I was married – now I’m going to divorce. I’m in a relationship. It is a new beginning in every respect.”
In June, Cardi B made her relationship with the football star Stefon Diggs (31) public. “It’s hard to data in the 30s. But I like it. I love him today,” said the rapper in the interview. She learned from the athlete to be organized and not to complain.
