In the 70s and 80s they were among the greatest stars in the music scene. Now Foreigner want to perform at the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce – and make an offer to the couple.

The British-American rock band Foreigner (“Cold As Ice”, “Waiting for A Girl Like You”) offered to play at the wedding of pop superstar Taylor Swift (“Shake it off”) and American football professional Trevis Kelce. The group turned to the celebrity couple with an open letter on Instagram.

“Dear Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, we know what love is,” it said, alluding to the famous Foreigner hit “I Want To Know What Love Is”. “It took us 40 years to find out … and now you know it too. Please consider this as our official offer to be your wedding band.”


Under Foreigner fans, the Instagram post ensured mixed reactions in the comments. While some found the offer embarrassed, others reacted enthusiastically.

The 14-time Grammy winner Swift (35) and the three-time Superbowl champion Kelce (35) from the Kansas City Chiefs announced their engagement in August. The two romantic photos posted on Instagram and jokingly wrote: “Your English teacher and your sports teacher marry.” An appointment for the wedding was initially not known.




Foreigner 2026 again on tour


The rock veterans have announced a world tour for the 50th band anniversary for the coming year. So far, eight concerts have been planned in Germany, including in Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart.

Nobody is left of the band line -up, which produced countless world hits in the 70s and 80s. The band founder Mick Jones, who suffered from Parkinson, retired as the last original member. Most recently, long -time singer Kelly Hansen, who had succeeded original front man Lou Gramm in 2005.
