Calvin Klein’s former office space has found a new owner. The German real estate company Engel & Völkers has conveyed the property and is now showing exclusive photos.
Reduced, elegant and through and through in the style of the designer: In the Chelsea Gallery District in Manhattan, Calvin Klein once set up his office space – now the penthouse changed the owner for more than three million dollars.
The property is located on the 18th floor of the Chelsea Arts Tower and was designed in 2006 by the architect Richard Gluckman on behalf of Klein. A spacious work area, a reception, a kitchen and a 39 square meter terrace with a view of the Hudson River, Hudson Yards and the skyline of Manhattan are distributed over around 307 square meters.

Klein’s handwriting is noticeable in every detail: three meters high ceilings, room-high glass walls, polished concrete floors-and as a spectacular center, a 7.3 meter long metal conference table, which could only be brought into the rooms with the help of a crane.
In 1968, the designer founded the fashion company Calvin Klein, Inc., which was founded by PVH Corp. was taken over. Klein received several awards for its iconic collections, including the Coty Award in the 1970s and in 2001 the CFDA Fashion Award for his life’s work.
