Former US President Obama will receive a trophy for the third time at the world’s most important television award. He is honored as a narrator of a Netflix series.
Former US President Barack Obama won his third Emmy. The 64-year-old was awarded for his speaking role in the Netflix documentary series “Our Oceans” in the “Best narrator” category, as the US television academy announced on Sunday evening (local time). In the five -part documentary series, Obama presents the different world oceans.
The ex-US president prevailed in his division against Tom Hanks, David Attenborough, Idris Elba and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Obama had previously won two Emmys in this category for the Netflix documentary series “Our Great National Parks” and “Working: What We Do All Day”.
The Emmys are the most important television prices in the United States. The winners in the main categories will be announced on September 14th at a gala in Los Angeles. The first awards in various technical and creative categories are already awarded beforehand.
