Actor Horst Krause died. He had his most famous role in the Brandenburg “Police Call 110”.
Active star Horst Krause (1941-2025) is dead. According to a message, he died on Friday at the age of 83. , he most recently lived in a retirement home in Teltow. Krause has been one of the most famous faces of German film and television for decades. From the mid-1990s, he played the popular police chief Horst Krause in the Brandenburg investigative team in the ARD series “Police Call 110” from the mid-1990s for over 15 years alongside Jutta Hoffmann (84).
He had other big appearances in films such as “We can do it differently …” (1993), with which he celebrated his breakthrough, or “Gets Gets the Blues” (2003) and in the “Krause” film series – including “Krauses Fest”, “Krauses Hope” and “Kraus -Future”.
A TV star since the 1990s
Horst Krause had studied from 1964 to 1967 at the state drama school in Berlin-Schöneweide. He then played theater and then started his career in film and television in the 1990s. In 1996 he was seen in Bernd Eichinger’s film “The Girl Rosemarie” or in two-part “The Bubi-Scholz-Story” (1998) by Roland Suso Richter.
For “We can do it differently …” Horst Krause won the German Film Award as the best actor. At the Stockholm International Film Festival, he was also awarded the best main actor for the leading role in “Schultze Gets The Blues”.
