Prince William and Princess Kate: With this visit you commemorate the Queen

On the third day of the death of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), the British heir to the throne Prince William and his wife Princess Kate (both 43) completed a moving visit to the Women’s Institute in Sunningdale. The royal couple honored an organization that was particularly important to the late monarch for eight decades.

Initially, only Prince William had been planned for a solo appointment. But at the last minute, Kate also decided to accompany her husband on this emotional occasion. According to sources from the Kensington Palace, the Princess of Wales was careful to “support her husband in the appreciation and celebration of the life of Queen Elizabeth II”.

The Women’s Institute, the largest women’s organization in Great Britain, was very special for Queen Elizabeth II. According to the agreed media reports, the monarch joined the organization as early as 1943 at the age of only 17 and remained loyal to her until her death in September 2022 – for almost 80 years.

From 2003 until her death, she also acted as President of the local Sandringham Group and regularly took part in New Year’s meetings. Even in 2022, on the occasion of their platinum anniversary, the Queen received helpers and members of the group for a celebration in Sandringham.

In her third public appearance within five days, Kate showed herself in an elegant caro dress in gray, white and bordeaux red with puffed sleeves, dramatic bubic protrusion and silver buttons. Especially in the eye, Kate’s new, brightened hairstyle, which she laid behind her ears in gentle curls.

William and Kate met with members of the Sunningdale local group and other Women’s Institute members from all over Berkshire to learn more about the work of the association. The organization offers women the opportunity to come together, learn new skills and to get involved in community projects.

The conversations with long -standing members who were still personally met with long -standing members are said to have been personally met and told about the importance of their participation in the organization. With a cup of tea – William seemed visibly satisfied with his drink – the royals listened to the memories of their late grandmother.
