Kelly Osbourne discovered an unusual passion after the loss of her father: the falconry helps her through grief.
In her deepest grief, Kelly Osbourne (40) found an unexpected bright spot. The 40-year-old discovered her love for falconry as a way to deal with the loss of her famous father. Singer Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025) died on July 22nd at the age of 76.
Kelly shared moving insights into her healing process. “In the midst of all my sadness and pain I found something that really makes me happy,” she wrote to a photo that she shows with an owl in my arms. “I never thought that I would find my smile again through the falconry, but I did it.”
The emotional stories show Kelly when working with different birds. In a video you can see how an owl sits on her grooved arm, flies away and returns to her after a short time. “You are great,” she says visibly admiringly to the bird.
“Hardest moment” of her life
Already at the beginning of August she spoke openly about her pain and thanked her fans for their support. “The love, the support and the beautiful news that I received from so many of you really helped me to get through the toughest moment of my life,” she wrote at the time.
In her post, the 40 -year -old also described the intensity of her grief: “Grief is something strange – she attacks one in waves – I will not be okay for a while – but to know that my family is not alone in our pain, makes a difference. I stick to love, light and legacy that was left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much.” She signed: “Kelly #birminghamforever #ozzyforever”.
At the end of July, a public mourning procession took place in Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown Birmingham, in which Kelly visibly moved with her family. The actual funeral of the music star then took place in the exclusion of the public. Osbourne was buried in a private ceremony in the family house in Buckinghamshire.
