Dustin Hoffman: Kiss for his wife Lisa Hoffman

Dustin Hoffman, 88, put one of his rare appearances on the red carpet. Last Monday, together with his wife Lisa Hoffman, 71, he visited the premiere of “Tuner” as part of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The actor, who celebrated his 88th birthday on August 8, posed arm in arm with his wife for the photographers and also gave her a kiss on her cheek.

Lisa Hoffman put on a classic cream -colored pants suit and combined a red clutch and sunglasses. Her husband presented a sporty elegant look with a dark gray jacket, black trousers, white shirt and white sneakers. Hoffman is typical that he took the opportunity to kiss Lisa in front of the cameras.

Almost ready for film for Hollywood conditions: the love of the two has been in place for over four decades. On October 12, last year, they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary – an impressive testimony to consistency in an industry that is not exactly known for long -lasting marriages.

Together they raised four children: the daughters Rebecca, 42, and Alexandra, 37, as well as the sons Maxwell, 41, and Jacob, 44. In the meantime, the two can also look forward to several grandchildren. From his first marriage to actress Anne Byrne, 81, which lasted from 1969 to 1980, daughter Jenna Byrne, 54, and adoptive daughter Karina Hoffman-Birkhead, 59, which emerged from Byrne’s first marriage.

The “Rain Man” actor on Monday with “Tuner” co-star Leo Woodall showed himself at the premiere celebration in Toronto. In Daniel Roher’s thriller, Hoffman, as Harry Horowitz, becomes a mentor of piano stimmer Niki (Woodall). Niki’s talent on the keyboard instrument will soon be discovered by dodgy figures who also want to use his sensitivity for safe.

“I was very scared at the beginning, because you don’t want to cut a bad figure in front of someone like Dustin Hoffman,” said Woodall recently in an interview with “Variety”. “It took a few days of shooting until I felt comfortable, confident and I was looking forward to getting involved in these 15 to 20-minute improvisations with him. If I had been told before shooting that I would make 20-minute improvisations with Dustin Hoffman, I would probably have been out of the film. I would have been too afraid, but it was the greatest fun I had ever had.”
