For the first time in over a year: Prince Harry meets King Charles
Does the royal family noise in Great Britain still find a good end? In any case, the “lost son” Prince Harry seems to use his home visit to an attempt.
Prince Harry, 40, and his father King Charles III, 76, met for a private tea hour in London. This reported, among other things, the British news agency PA, citing palace circles. Nothing became known about the content of the one -hour meeting in the King’s residence, Clarence House in London.
According to the media, father and son had not seen each other for about a year and a half. The relationship is considered tense. It was therefore speculated that the two could have been looking for a clarifying conversation.
According to the tabloid “The Sun”, King Charles interrupted his summer stay in Scotland for a detour to London. Harry had already arrived in his old homeland on Monday – the third day of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II – and had since noticed several appointments in charity organizations.
Relationship for King Charles is considered to be heavily stressed
Harry and his wife Duchess Meghan, 44, had said goodbye to the closer circle of Royals five years ago and live with their two children Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, in the US state of California.
The ratio of Harry and Meghan with US talk-show legend Oprah Winfrey in 2021 in front of running cameras spoke about their exit and complained bitterly since Harry and Meghan. This was followed by a Netflix documentary series and Harry’s autobiography “Spare” (in German: “Reserve”), in which he primarily divided his brother Prince William, 43, and Queen Camilla.
Prince Harry wants a reconciliation
Prince Harry had recently expressed the desire for reconciliation. In a BBC interview after a defeat in court for state personal protection on visits to the UK, which is no longer automatically entitled to him, he said: “I would be happy to reconcile with my family.” He added: “Life is precious. I don’t know how long my father still has to live.” However, his father doesn’t even speak to him with him because of the dispute over for personal protection. At least that has changed.
