Actress Enissa Amani sails with Greta Thunberg to Gaza
For the approximately 300 activists who are on the go with boats towards Gaza, prominent support now comes from Germany. “You are my protection,” wrote Enissa Amani to her followers.
The actress and comedian Enissa Amani, according to the international auxiliary flotilla, joined Global Sumud Flotilla towards Gaza Strip. The 43-year-old said on Instagram that she was in Tunisia and wanted to sail to Gaza. The aim of the mission is to “draw attention to the injustice without violence and legally and to bring help,” wrote Amani. The group sails with 42 boats.

Amani continued to write about her followers: “I need you for this mission. You are my protection and therefore also protection for the others on my boat. I am a German citizen and belong to the German delegation.”

According to the organizers, the flotilla started around 300 activists from Barcelona at the end of August. Other well -known personalities are already there, for example Irish actor Liam Cunningham (“Game of Thrones”). About a week later, the group reported that one of the main boats had been hit by a drone in Tunisian waters. The Tunisian authorities contradicted this representation and spoke of a fire on board, triggered by a burning lifeguard.
The Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg is also involved in the campaign. For them, it is the second attempt this year to reach the Gaza Strip blocked by Israel with a ship.
