Family growth at Casper Ruud: The Norwegian tennis professional and his fiance Maria Galligani expect their first child together.
Casper Ruud (26) faces the most important task of his life – albeit away from the tennis court. The Norwegian and his fiancé Maria Galligani expect their first child together, as the couple now announced on Instagram. It will be a girl who is to see the light of the world in 2026.
Engagement in November
The announcement was made with two emotional recordings. In the first picture, Ruud lovingly hugs his partner while he puts his hand protectively on her stomach – together with your dog you pose radiant for the camera. The second photo shows the ultrasound image alongside tiny pink baby shoes, above it is your four -legged family member. “The team is growing. Until next year, little girl,” wrote the expectant dad on the recordings and added heart and angel-emojis.
Ruud only had in November 2024. Three romantic beach photos with sea scenes testified to the special moment – Galligani proudly presented her diamond ring. “Can’t wait to marry you,” the athlete had written at the time. The two have been a couple since 2018 and live together in Oslo.
Under the baby news posting, numerous enthusiastic news from his tennis colleagues gathered. “Congratulations,” commented Carlos Alcaraz (22) with a heart eyes emoji. Denis Shapovalov (26), Tommy Paul (28) or Rafael Nadal (39) also congratulated.
