Emergency room instead of Emmy Awards
An unexpected turn took an unexpected turn for actress Sofía Vergara on Sunday evening. She missed the Emmy Awards because of an eye allergy.
While her colleagues celebrated in noble robes at the Emmy Awards in 2025, “Modern Family” star Sofía Vergara (53) had to go to the emergency room for an eye energy.

The actress that she missed the Emmys on Sunday, September 14th because she had recently been hit by one, as she called it, “craziest eye allergy”. “I didn’t make it to the Emmys, but into the emergency room,” Vergara wrote and posted a close -up of her swollen left eye. “I’m sorry that I had to cancel! Craziest eye allergy, just before I got into the car!”
Her contribution also contained a video in which the actress is located in a hospital bed, and another clip in which she rinses her eye with water in a hospital wash basin.
According to a press release dated September 9, Vergara should appear at this year’s ceremony alongside top-class colleagues such as Elizabeth Banks, Angela Bassett, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, Jesse Williams and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Eric Dane was also missing
However, it is not the only announced name that did not make it to the event. Eric Dane (52) was also not published by the actor, in whom was diagnosed, should actually celebrate at the 20th anniversary of “Grey’s Anatomy”.
