Fans of the hospital series “Grey’s Anatomy” know Sandra Oh as a doctor Cristina Yang – but now the Canadian actress has a completely new role in a completely different place.
From the hospital onto the opera stage: Canadian actress Sandra Oh (54), who became famous worldwide with her role as a doctor Cristina Yang in the successful series “Grey’s Anatomy”, celebrates her debut at the renowned New York Metropolitan Opera.
OH will take over the role of the Duchess of Crakentorp in the “The Regiment Daughter” of the Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti from October 17, said the Opera House in Manhattan. This is largely a speech role in the work that tells the story of a couple of lovers.
The OH was previously seen in the series “Killing Eve” and “The Professor”. Most recently, she was on stage in a Shakespeare piece in New York Central Park this summer.
