Camping: from Buenos Aires Terrace to Festival in the Planetarium
Camping was born ten years ago as a pioneer bar on the terrace of Buenos Aires Design, where full moon nights were summoned to artists from the emerging scene. He then transformed into the gardens of the Museum of Architecture (Marq) in retirement and became a cult space for live music. For their scenario, hundreds of artists passed and the first shows of figures were lived that would later be references, such as Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, Zoe Gotusso, knowing Russia, Marilina Bertoldi and Chinese Bandalsamong many others.
Throughout this decade, Camping was consolidated as a seedbed in permanent dialogue with Buenos Aires: a meeting point where music mixed with architecture, street and nightlife. Today, that spirit expands towards another scale.
The jump of Venue to Festival is not just a change of format, it is the confirmation of a project that understands the city as a scenario and that seeks to pay tribute. The choice of the planetarium as the headquarters opens this new stage, reaffirming its identity: a space that generates and expands links with the local scene, Latin American culture and new generations of audiences.
