A rubber sole with a health factor

Klaus Märtens was a German doctor who served in the Wehrmacht and had to wear conventional job boots. For this reason, he had the idea of inventing a comfortable shoe that relieves the feet. In short, he developed the so-called Air-Wair sole made of plastic, which is filled with air cushion. This should make it possible for the wearer to be on his feet for hours without getting pain in the feet. Were really comfortable (and are) Dr. However, Martens has not yet – at least at the beginning.

That’s why docs have to be run in

Who in his life Dr. Martens has worn, he knows: At the beginning, the shoes are still very stiff and press at all corners. No bending helps either, instead it just takes time for the material to be optimally adapted to the feet. However, if the time has come, the leather shoes are (there is also ) more than comfortable. The somewhat uncomfortable entry is one of the docs at least as much as their classic appearance.
