Louboutin has appointed Jaden Smith as creative director of the men’s line – this writes the fashion house history.
Fashion history at Louboutin: For the first time since it was founded in 1991, Christian Dior (62) gives the creative direction of part of his house – to Jaden Smith (27). The son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is the first to take over the creative responsibility for the men’s line and will in future shape four collections a year.
That gave Louboutin. Smith’s first collection for the brand, which is known for your red sole, will be presented in January 2026 as part of the Paris Fashion Week. Previously, the first pieces are said to be available as an avant premiere in selected Louboutin stores and online. In total, Smith will be responsible for four collections a year and thus create its own “visual and emotional universe” for the brand.
That says Jaden Smith about his new job
“It is easy for me to unite my vision with that of Christian because we see the world in a very similar way,” Jaden Smith is quoted in a statement. “There is a common respect for creative freedom, and I think that’s exactly why it works. I want to continue the story, honor the past and at the same time shape the future with my own perspective.”
Creative director is “not just a title”, but “a creative home”. “Christian gave me a place where I can explore, learn and create freely. His legacy is based on hard work and joy, and I would like to carry it on,” said Smith.
Jaden Smith is the oldest child of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Already in childhood he gave his acting debut, among other things, in 2006 in the film “The pursuit of happiness” next to his father. After a few more roles, Smith started his music career in 2012, and he published a total of three studio albums.
