Before the journey home: The helicopter of Donald and Melania Trump had to stop at a British airfield.

Small fright to say goodbye: Donald (79) and Melania Trump (55) had to make an unplanned stopover on their state visit in the UK. The US president’s helicopter apparently had technical problems near London. Referring to Karoline Leavitt (28), the Press spokeswoman of the White House, reports, the helicopter had to land unexpectedly.

The Trumps were on the way to Stansted Airport with Marine One to get into the Air Force One and return to Washington. “Due to a smaller hydraulic problem and caution, the pilots of Marine One landed on a local airfield before reaching Stansted Airport,” said Leavitt’s delayed departure from the Presidential couple from London. “The President and First Lady have surely climbed into the accompanying helicopter,” she added.

The Trumps hit the royals

Donald and Melania Trump arrived in London on Tuesday. During the state visit, they met members of the royal family, including King Charles (76), Queen Camilla (78), Prince William (43) and Princess Kate (43) as well as the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer (63).

During his speech at a state banquet that was held in honor of him, Trump had said according to the “Daily Mail” what great respect he for King Charles III. and for Great Britain. For the 79-year-old, who was the first US president to be invited to a second state visit by a British monarch, this was “truly one of the highest honor” of his life. He also responded to William and Kate. Charles “raised a remarkable son”, whose wife was “so radiant and so healthy, so beautiful”.
