The call, formalized this Friday through Resolution 592/2025, will be open between September 22 and October 22. He contemplates prizes and support for projects of Argentine producers in both categories.
The Institute National Film and Arts (INCAA) authorized the implementation of the “Startead contest: fiction and documentary 2025”destined to support national producers projects, as established in Resolution 592/2025 published today in the Official Gazette.
The deadline for submission will be extended from 00 on September 22 to 2 pm on October 22, 2025. The Requirements to participate in the feature film contest: fiction and documentary 2025 of INCAA They establish that the projects must be unpublished, present themselves before the start of filming and load online on the platform Incaa online.
The producer presenter and the director must be Argentine or legal residents in the country, and both must prove background in the sector (at least two feature films released, two co -productions, two digital documentaries or four short films/series). In addition, the producer must demonstrate the ownership of the rights of the script registered in the National Directorate of Copyright and not register breaches in previous competitions or appear as a debtor in INCAA
Producers are excluded with films that have exceeded 75,000 spectators in the last five years, to those who maintain employment relationship with the INCAA and projects that have already received funds from the agency. The project folder must include synopsis, script or treatment, motivation of the director, aesthetic proposal, budget, production plan and complementary material in specific digital formats. All material must be anonymous (without producer or director’s data) to guarantee the transparency of the evaluation
The resolution, signed by the president of INCAA, Carlos Pirovanoalso approves the contract model and the promissory note that will govern for the selected projects. In addition, it leaves without effect prior provisions that contradict the provisions of this new call.
According to the agency, the contest seeks to promote emerging and consolidated creativity in the Argentine audiovisual sector, promoting cultural diversity and strengthening the film industry.
