That was her first month in Ibiza

In August, Alina Merkau shifted her center of life to Ibiza. It shows how the first few weeks went.

A great adventure started for Alina Merkau (39) in August. The moderator known from the “Sat.1 breakfast television” has moved together with her husband Rael, daughter Rosa and son Carlo. For now, she would like to enjoy life in Ibiza for a year. The family has been on site for a month now – and Merkau reports how everything feels.

Four weeks in Ibiza: Between fears and love

She can apparently be seen at work on the laptop, she jumps into the water with her daughter, dances with the son and shows further impressions from the Spanish island. “Four weeks away,” says. In the added comment, she indicates that the first few weeks were apparently emotionally very demanding.

“Laughing, relief, concern, fear, courage, bite, loneliness, overwhelming, helpfulness, love, cohesion,” Merkau writes about the short video. “Jesus, we felt a lot in these weeks.” She is thinking that she is getting “little steps in Gaaaaaanz”. In a story, the moderator also tells that something like normality seems to be slow.

“And then you long for normality”

“Crazy that it is four weeks today. I just can’t believe it,” reports Merkau, who is sitting with her husband. Her son was still awake in his room and her daughter slept with a friend. “It all feels pretty normal and I can’t believe it myself,” she says. There will probably be many ups and downs, but it was “a little high”. This is that, “what you long for again. You want to get out of normality and then you long for normality.”

Merkau had in August that the family is leaving Germany for now. “We are in Ibiza for a year and all in,” she said to her followers. After a week of vacation, “normal life” starts.
