Amira Aly is the new face of a lingerie brand. In an interview, the 32-year-old reveals how she has prepared and why the shoot comes true for her.

For Amira Aly, it couldn’t go better at the moment: on TV on the side of her partner Christian Düren and the move to her new house is imminent. Now she has also fulfilled the dream of her own campaign shoot. The moderator and two-time mother is the new advertising face of the lingerie brand Lascana. Aly shows up in Lingerie in front of the camera for the first time. “Everything actually feels very good,” enthuses the 32-year-old and looks back in an interview, for which she even did without her beloved Kaiserschmarrn.



Ms. Aly, how was it for you to stand in front of the camera for a fashion shoot in lingerie?
Amira Aly: It was a very exciting moment. Of course, it was new to me in Lingerie in front of the camera. However, we have already spoken in advance and I quickly noticed that the staging, the styles and the visual language that Lascana plans, I will like 100 percent.

How nervous were you before the first shooting day?
The nervousness was great. Not only I, the whole team, which is behind such a production, has worked towards it for weeks, and then comes the moment when everything flows together. But as soon as I was on the set, the excitement was solved. The setting, the crew and the beautiful lingerie gave me a really good feeling and I was able to let myself go – you can see that in the pictures.


Did you train in the run -up to the shoot and pay attention to your diet?
Yes, I really trained, and that gave me a lot of strength mentally. I did without sugar as best I could – and believe me, as a Austrian it was not easy. I love our hearty cuisine and especially Kaiserschmarrn. But it was important to me to feel absolutely comfortable in my skin, and this feeling of strength wore me on the set.




Speaking of comfort, do you sometimes have to fight with self -doubt?
I think every person sometimes has to struggle with self -doubt. But I learned to appreciate my body not only for its appearance, but for its strength and what it enables me.


What do you advise women who feel uncomfortable in your body?
To meet yourself with more respect and not to compare yourself constantly. We should pay much more attention to our own strengths and advantages and celebrate them. This is a lot more fun than always concentrating on the negative.

The campaign is under the motto “We love”. What do you particularly love yourself?
Of course, this is a bit difficult to praise yourself. In principle, I always see the good in everything and I think that gives me a certain carefree that I like to like.

The shoot took place in Mallorca. Did you also have time to enjoy the island away from the set?
Yes, and it was fantastic! After intensive shooting days, to feel the sun on the face, to see the sea and simply take a deep breath – it was like a gift. Mallorca has an incredible lightness that inspires immediately. And it is always an uncomplicated, very worthwhile travel destination with children.

It is currently running around professionally and privately: your new house is ready, on TV you will moderate together with your partner Christian Düren and now also a new advertising contract. How do you experience this time?
Everything actually feels very good. House building was challenging, but it proudly fulfills me that I will soon be able to move into our very personal dream house with my family. An absolute lifelong dream comes true and I am looking forward to our first Christmas there. This year there were also so many exciting and new challenges that I enjoyed to the fullest. One of my dreams was always to shoot a campaign and that it was still for a strong brand like Lascana, I was particularly pleased.

They also have two small children. How do you get it all under one hat?
With a lot of organization – and even more love. Children earth in a very special way. They remind me of what really matters every day. And of course it helps that we as a family are a strong team.
