After Talkmaster Jimmy Kimmel was suspended because of a political statement, the moderator will be back on TV on September 23.
Six days after the American talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The moderator returns to the screen tomorrow, as the station announces. Disney’s ABC had previously discontinued Jimmy Kimmel (57) “indefinitely” after he had commented on the murder of Charlie Kirk.
According to the US media, the Walt Disney Company gave out an explanation in which the show was confirmed on Tuesday, September 23. “Last Wednesday we decided to expose the production to the production in order not to further heat a tense situation in a moment emotional for our country. We made this decision because we thought some of the comments were inappropriate and therefore insensitive,” it says. “We have spent the last few days to have intensive discussions with Jimmy, and after these conversations we made the decision to take the show back on Tuesday.”
In the episode of September 15, Jimmy Kimmel, who moderated the talk show since 2003, came to speak to the right -wing Charlie Kirk in his opening monologue, who was shot on September 10 during a speech at Utah Valley University. “We have reached a new low at the weekend when the Maga gang tried desperately, that Charlie Kirk murdered Charlie Kirk as anything but one of her, and did everything to make political capital,” said Kimmel.
Re -hiring as a reaction to national protests?
After the suspension of Kimmel, people protested ahead of Disney or the TV studio of the talk show on the street for freedom of expression. Over 400 stars such as Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Lee Curtis or Tom Hanks also defended the right to free opinion and Kimmel in an open letter from the American Civil Rights Organization American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
