The filmmaker behind Weapons, Zach Creggerconfirmed that he and Warner Bros. They are in conversations for the film prequel centered on the spooky villain Amy Madigan.
“It’s real and I have been talking to Warner Bros. about it,” said the director of terror to Fangoria magazine before the digital premiere of the film. “There is a story and I am very excited. They are not nonsense”.
Cregger added that the conversations were also independent of the success of the box office and critics of Weapons, and that the gestation of the idea was prior to its collection in the US of almost 150 million dollars (and 263 million dollars accumulated worldwide) compared to a budget of less than 40 million dollars.
“I was ready,” Cregger said about the prequel. “I already had it in my pocket before the movie was released.”
