“Star Trek” star William Shatner had to go to the hospital after a medical emergency. In the meantime it should be on the way of improvement.
William Shatner (94) had to be taken to the hospital on Wednesday after a medical emergency. The actor, who was world famous for his role as Captain Kirk in “Star Trek”, suffered problems with his blood sugar level in his house in Los Angeles in the late afternoon.
From caution, Shatner himself called the emergency services himself. Shortly afterwards, paramedics from the Los Angeles (LAFD) fire brigade arrived and brought him to a clinic with an ambulance.
Environment gives the all -clear
As “TMZ” continues, Shatner, according to his environment, is now “good”. He recover and rest. The all-clear should be a relief for his fans worldwide: the actor is not only an icon of the science fiction genre, but also as one of the most formative faces in pop culture.
Despite his old age, Shatner is still very active: in the past few months, he regularly performed publicly and worked on new projects related to his legendary figure Captain Kirk. In October 2021, he was at the age of 90 as a space tourist on board a suborbital flight to space and thus became the oldest person who has ever been in space.
