The industrial monument Völklinger Hütte becomes the backdrop for two editions for the ZDF program on Sunday afternoon. Moderator Andrea Kiewel expects prominent guests – including some Saarlanders.
The “ZDF television garden on tour” will give a guest appearance this autumn against impressive industrial backdrop in Saarland. Moderator Andrea Kiewel reports on October 5th and 12th from a “unique location”, the Völklinger Hütte, as the television station in Mainz announced. The live broadcasts start at 12 noon. The audience awaits a show spectacle with prominent guests, music, dance and service topics.
The “ZDF television garden” leaves the Mainz Lerchenberg once a year and guests in the federal state, which organizes the official celebrations for the Day of German Unity. The Völklinger Hütte, a former ironworks, was raised to the first industrial complex in 1994 by UNESCO to the World Heritage Site.
Two live broadcasts in the open air
On October 5, according to ZDF, the musicians Dick Brave (Sasha) and Alexander Eder are expected in the outdoor show. The singers Lena Marie Engel and Sophia are also invited. TV chef Christian Rach and astronaut Matthias Maurer have been announced as Saarlanders.
The edition on October 12th is under the motto “Schlagerparty”. As guests, moderator Kiwi then greets Beatrice Egli, Nicole, Eric Philippi, Vincent Gross and many other stars, it said.
Display films show sights
According to ZDF, sights of the Saarland and its capital Saarbrücken are also presented in the program in record films. They will be presented on October 5 by moderator Jess Schöne and on October 12 by Comedian Matze Knop, football expert Reiner Calmund and singer Nicole. The Saarlander won the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) with the song “A little peace” in 1982.
