Your marriage is back at eye level
Barack Obama speaks of a hole in which he and his wife Michelle were found and from which he had to work out.
Much has been reported in the past few months about the marriage of the Obamas. Both admitted that it was not always easy. During an appearance, Barack Obama (64) has now explained that he and his wife, Michelle Obama (61), were in a hole from which he has now worked out.
Barack Obama again “on flat ground”
“I worked out of the hole that I got into with Michelle” on September 24th during a appearance in the London O2 Arena. “Now I’m roughly on flat ground,” he commented on. So it is back at eye level in the relationship.
During another appearance in the US state of Pennsylvania, Obama had already addressed this “hole” and said that he had spent more than eight years of making things back on. It is challenging, “but I have the feeling that I make progress,” he explained there. At this point, he believed that he was about to be just before that, so to speak, from the red numbers when it comes to marriage.
As early as April, Barack Obama spoke of one of a “big deficit” in his marriage during his presidency. The time in the White House is said to have been particularly difficult for the couple. In the following years he also tried to make up for a lot.
Separation was never an issue with the Obamas
As part of the rumors about the alleged crisis, speculation about a possible separation also arose. the couple went into it in July and could even joke about it. “What, do you like yourself?” Asked Michelle Obama’s brother Craig Robinson (63). “Oh yes, the rumor mill,” sighed Michelle. Barack Obama countered: “She took back me! It was a tight thing.”
“There was no moment in our marriage when I would have thought about leaving my husband,” said Michelle. At the same time, however, she also admitted that, as in any other relationship, everything was not always easy: “We really had hard times, but also many wonderful moments, many adventures. And I became a better person because I got this man.”
In this too, Michelle Obama had already talked about the rumors of divorce. “If I had problems with my husband, everyone would know that,” she said in the episode published in early May. The nice thing about the marriage of the two is “that none of us ever really wanted to give up, because we just are not like that”.
