At the beginning of October, in the coming week, the sentence against the rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs (55), found for guilty, is to be announced in two cases. Previously, his legal team seems to try everything so that the hip-hop mogul is released as soon as possible. After a very low punishment has already been requested, Combs has now tried to completely overturn the judgment.

During a hearing in which, in addition to Combs, his mother and some of his children were also present, a lawyer of the rapper had stated, according to the U.S. reports that were unanimous, that the conviction was not legal, since the law was not used in the event of Combs. The rapper was voyeurism, it only reaches in a connection with prostitution – which is therefore supposedly not about. The judgment should either be dropped or there should be a new process. , the responsible judge did not decide directly on the application. However, he indicated that he would soon share his decision.

“I really appreciate you. I love all of you so much,” said the rapper after the end of the hearing to his family. He also expressed his hope of being released from prison as soon as possible. “Every day, every second I am closer to getting home,” he explained. His family shouldn’t worry.

Combs had been found guilty last July, but he was acquitted by a jury by even more serious allegations, including sex trade. On paper, the rapper, who had known himself for “not guilty”, threatens a prison sentence of up to 20 years. His legal team had recently asked for a prison sentence. Since Combs has been in custody for more than a year and this time is counted towards the overall sentence, in such a case he would be released shortly after the announcement of the sentence, which is planned for October 3.
