Dog father Lewis Hamilton is very afraid for his friend. His faithful Bulldogge Rosco is in a coma. He asks the fans to pray for the also famous dog.
Lewis Hamilton is not only seven-time Formula 1 world champion, but also a confessed dog friend. But a dramatic news is currently overshadowing the life of the British racing driver. In a moving post, Hamilton asked his fans to put his beloved bulldog male rump rosco into her thoughts.
The twelve-year-old four-legged friend, long since a little celebrity with her own Instagram account, is fighting again with severe pneumonia. “Rosco had problems breathing, had to go to the hospital and was sedated. His heart stopped,” wrote Hamilton. Doctors were able to reanimate the dog, but since then Rosco has been in a coma. “We don’t know if he will wake up again. Tomorrow we want to try to wake him up. I am by his side to thank you all for your prayers and support,” said the dog dad.

For Lewis Hamilton, Rosco is more than just a dog
For Hamilton, Rosco is much more than an animal companion. The bulldog has been part of his family since 2013. At that time, the racing driver discovered the animal on an online platform for dogs in need. “I saw his picture and knew immediately: that’s him!”, Hamilton said once. A spontaneous decision that he describes as one of the best decisions of his life.
But Rosco has been struggling with health problems for a long time. Especially in his first eight years of life, he suffered from shortness of breath and joint complaints, typical bulldog diseases. In 2020, Hamilton switched the diet of his dog completely to herbal, so the magazine writes “since then it has been replaced,” he reported at the time. In fact, Rosco’s health improved, he was able to run and breathe again.

Rosco now follows over a million fans on Instagram. His account is not only a tribute to his sister Coco, who died of heart problems in 2020, but also a shop window in the life of the “vegan celebrity bulldog”. Now Hamilton is worried about his best friend with millions of fans worldwide. The situation makes the situation all the more serious that Rosco is already twelve years old, Bulldogen are only eight to ten years old.
