The “Harry Potter” series production team has been shooting in Windsor Great Park – and apparently under difficult conditions since Friday.

Anything but magical is currently on the set of the “Harry Potter” television series. Because as British media report, the crew are causing annoying insects to create annoying insects during the shooting in Windsor Great Park. Even a warning of stitches was pronounced.

Warning of Cast and Crew

Since Friday, the team has been shooting not far from the Forest Lodge, the future home of Prince William (43) and Princess Kate (43). However, the area is not only particularly idyllic, but also rich in various insects. In a warning to the line-up and the crew, it was therefore said in advance: “The risk of tick and brakes is high in this place. Please wear suitable clothing and pay attention to stitches. Please contact the paramedic on site.” Tail bites cause red rashes and can cause fever, tiredness and even meningitis. Brakes can be persistent and cause painful bites that can trigger an allergic reaction.

A source revealed the British tabloid: “You can say with certainty that the warning of tick and brake bisses did not exactly create the best atmosphere on the first day. Nobody likes to be stung and you could see how everyone was nervous of mosquitoes.” The team gives everything so that the series will be as well received by the fans as the successful film series.

Replica of Hogsmeade station in Windsor Park

In the meantime, the highest level of confidentiality applies at the set, so that as little information as possible about the content and appearance of the HBO series becomes known in advance. All participants have been instructed to use code words to obscure the production of “Harry Potter”. First they supposedly used the word “Dark Train” before moving to “Brown Cat”. Cell phones are also prohibited on the set.

Nevertheless, a few days ago, “The Sun” reported that a four million pound set for the series was built in the Windsor Great Park, which is a replica of the Hogsmead station – including around 800 meters track for the Hogwarts Express.

Series should celebrate its premiere in 2027

The series, which is planned as the loyal adaptation of the seven books by JK Rowling, is produced under the direction of showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod. The filming started in the Leavesden Studios in Great Britain in July 2025.

At the end of May, the three newcomers Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Arabella Stanton (Hermine Granger) and Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley) were announced. Little by little, other performers became known: Nick Frost as Hagrid, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape. Ron’s siblings have also been determined: Tristan Harland as Fred, Gabriel Harland as George, Ruari Spooner as Percy and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny.

The first season, which is based on “Harry Potter and the Stone of the Wise”, is expected to appear on HBO and HBO Max in 2027.
