Cybercrime and musical riddle – the Swiss “crime scene”

Defective defibrillators, an enigmatic music code and fatal danger in your own family: What is the limits to the commissioners Ott and Grandjean in the new Swiss “crime scene”?

A normal, sunny day in Zurich. Here a group does yoga exercises, there a man goes for a walk with his dog, a woman runs down a staircase. And then suddenly all three break down dead. These are not the last dead of this Swiss “crime scene” thriller. In the end it is dozens. The “Chamber Flicker” case runs in the first at 8:15 p.m. in the first.

The constant howling of the sirens of ambulances, the music after the beat of real cardiac arrhythms – this conveys the drama with which commissioners Tessa Ott (Carol Schuler) and Isabelle Grandjean (Anna Pieri Zugercher) are confronted. It quickly becomes clear that all victims had implanted defibrillators from Lauber Cardio. If necessary, such devices give an electrical impulse to stabilize the heart. At least 2,400 people are in danger.

The cryptic claim for millions

The company has become the victim of a cyber attack, instead of a small impulse, people with a Lauber cardio device suddenly get an electric shock. Extressers require a millions for a digital key to bring the company calculators back to running again with which the devices can be set correctly.

It quickly becomes clear to OTT that they are not dealing with hackers in distant countries that blackmail some company. For this, the unusual ransom of CHF 317 million and the message on the chopped computers speak, which is underlaid with a well -known melody of the French composer Delibes. They take a closer look at the company, and lo and behold: it is under competitive pressure and has not been frightened in the past from unclean methods.

Is the competitor Jill Rochat (Anne Haug) behind? Or the programmer Albin Fischer (Sven Schelker), who announced years ago when the Lauber Cardio asked him illegal manipulations? And what role does the young reporter Paula Bianchi (Annina Walt) play, which is on the trail of history, even though a news lock is supposed to prevent mass panic? Only when the commissioners deciphered the importance of the 317 and the Delibes piece, they come to the home straight.

In this “crime scene” it is right between the two otherwise rather rugged commissioners. Actually, Ott from a highly wealthy house always feels like anger in the stomach to shake off her family history, while Grandjean is unapproachable with her difficult relationship boxes. Because Ott’s mother is suddenly in danger, but cannot be found, the two come really close for the first time.

Löwenherz and the puzzle parts

Three strong women make up the Swiss “crime scene”: in addition to the commissioners, the fearless prosecutor Anita Wegenast (Rachel Braunschweig). The forensic technician Noah Löwenherz (Aaron Arens) is slowly moving into the spotlight. As always, he loses the frustration of the commissioners in explanations of technical details, but ultimately provides the crucial puzzle parts to solve the case.
