Martin Freeman: “Hobbit” star at “Momo” premiere in Munich

A touch of Hollywood in Munich. “The Hobbit” star Martin Freeman (54) showed itself on Sunday at the premiere of “Momo” in the Mathäser Kino. The internationally profiled actor posed on the red carpet with his colleagues around Alexa Goodall. The 13-year-old embodies the title role in the remake of Michael Ende (1939-1995 )’s classic children’s novel. Martin Freeman plays Master Hora, the Lord of Time.

At the celebration, Martin Freeman wore a dark blue two -row with an attachment cloth above a black shirt open above without a collar. The Briton had classic black leather shoes on its feet.

“Momo” is a German production, directed by Christian Ditter (“suburban crocodiles”). The ensemble is internationally set up. In addition to Martin Freeman and Alexa Goodall, Araloyin Oshunemi (21) also comes from Great Britain as Momo’s best friend and Laura Haddock (40). Kim Bodnia (60) and the Claes Bang (58) known from the Netflix series “Dracula” come from Denmark and the “Dracula” Netflix series. One of the few German actors is David Schütter (31).

Martin Freeman initially became known with the British series “The Office” and “Sherlock”. In the “Hobbit” trilogy, he then played the main role of the Bilbo Beutlin in the cinema. As a US government official Everett K. Ross, he became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, for example in “Black Panther”.

“Momo” tells the story of a little girl who lives in a Roman amphitheater. She notices that a group steals their time to people. Together with Meister Hora, she fights against the time thieves. The remake will start on October 2, 2025 in German cinemas.

“Momo” was first adapted for the cinema in 1986. Even 40 years ago, an international size embodied Master Hora. The US actor and director John Huston (1906-1987) gave himself the honor alongside Mario Adorf (95), Armin Mueller-Stahl (94) and Radost “Momo” Bokel (50).
