Michelle Pfeiffer: she enjoys her life as a grandmother

Michelle Pfeiffer (67) used her appearance on Monday to tell the moderators Jason Bateman (56), Arnett (55) and Sean Hayes (55) to share a special news. The actress and her husband David E. Kelley (69) have become grandparents for the first time.

During the conversation about her relationship with acting, Pfeiffer indicated that a recent change had postponed its perspective in her life. After some printing around, she finally revealed her big secret. “I have neither the time nor the desire to immerse yourself so deeply and for so long and not to be present,” said the 67-year-old about her acting jobs. “It has become clear to me that I only have a limited time and – I might be announcing that on this show – that I became a grandmother last year.”

While the hosts congratulated, she continued: “I kept myself very covered, but it’s just heavenly. It’s so nice. And if I had known that I would be grandmother, I wouldn’t have accepted so much work. But I enjoyed everything and I am really grateful.”

The Oscar-nominated actress also announced that the hustle and bustle in her private and professional life made it possible for her to deal with her acting much more relaxed- and to ponder less about details. “I am so grateful because I love acting. I have never lost it – in fact, I probably enjoy it more than ever before because I deal with it more relaxed,” said Pfeiffer. “I don’t really have time to think about anything other than the upcoming task.”

The actress and film producer David E. Kelley met in 1993 on a blind date. The wedding bells rang in the same year. The two have two children: When Pfeiffer adopted her daughter Claudia Rose, she was only lined up with Kelley for a few months. A year later, son Henry was born. The actress did not reveal any further details about the grandchild.
