Rudi Völler’s career is examined in more detail in a new Sky documentary. Völler now visited the premiere with his family.
“Rudi Völler – there is only one” will be available with Sky and Wow from October 3. The documentary in Frankfurt celebrated its German premiere on Monday, in which the protagonist was of course not missing. Rudi Völler (65) celebrated the event according to a message with friends, companions and the family.
Accordingly, he received support from national coach Julian Nagelsmann (38), ex-football player and TV expert Lothar Matthäus (64) or ex-player Michael Ballack (49). Other names from the football world were Otto Rehhagel, Reiner Calmund, Michael Kutzop, Bernd Neuendorf or Simon Rolfes. Likewise, Völler’s long-time companion, musician Marius Müller-Westernhagen (76) or Mike Josef (42), the mayor of the city of Frankfurt, were among the guests.
On the red carpet, Völler posed with his wife Sabrina Völler, the shared sons Kevin and Bryan, as well as Greta, Sabrina’s daughter from a first marriage, and Marco, Rudi Völler’s son from first marriage. Daughter Laura also comes from this.

Some of the premiere guests have their say in the documentary. In “Rudi Völler – there is only one” the 65 -year -old looks back on formative events and visits decisive places that also affect his private life. According to the announcement, Völler is traveling in his hometown of Hanau, where he visits his parents’ house and the club from his beginnings. On the lawn of the Olympic Stadium in Rome, the ex-player remembers the 1990 World Cup final and the decisive penalty he got.
Apart from the lawn, Völler will give an insight into his private life. With Marius Müller-Westernhagen he visits an exhibition, with his three sons he can be seen on the Padel Court, there is a family meal, and with his wife Sabrina he walks over the Maximus Circus while the two get to know them in Rome.
