The Dutch royal couple Máxima and Willem-Alexander traveled to Toulouse for a day. Her outfits are a subtle homage to the French city.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands arrived on Tuesday evening for a one-day visit to the French city of Toulouse. On Wednesday morning, the Royals went to an appointment in the Archbishop Palace, where Máxima once again demonstrated her feeling of style.
Subtle homage to Toulouse
The queen was dressed in a tender pale pink in a two -part of the Belgian fashion house – perfectly fitting to the nickname of Toulouse: “La Ville Rose”, the pink city. In addition, the cut of the costume was reminiscent of Dior – so properly for a visit to France. In addition, Máxima wore a basket-like hat and heels as well as a clutch in the same color. Subtle pearl earrings and a multi -row pearl chain around the neck added the outfit.
Husband Willem-Alexander was dressed in a classic dark blue suit with a blue tie. But he also did not miss a small fashion homage to the hosts: the king wore a light pink shirt and pocket cloth.
That do Willem-Alexander and Máxima in Toulouse
The program for the day in Toulouse is initially a visit to the headquarters of the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, which sits in Toulouse. In the afternoon, the royal couple visits the urban farm “Domaine de Candie” and in the evening there is a reception in the Capitole, the Toulouse town hall.
The royal family emphasized that the visit stands for “strong economic cooperation” between the Netherlands and France. During a state visit in 2023, France appointed President Emmanuel Macron as the “Dutch-French Year” for the current year 2025. The Occitania region, in which Toulouse is located, is considered a leading Airbus region for aviation, and it is also the French center of agriculture.
