The actress Lori Loughlin and designer Mossimo Giannulli broke up. After 28 years of marriage they now live separately. There are no legal procedures.

Lori Loughlin (61) and Mossimo Giannulli (62) go separate paths. The actress, known from “Full House”, and her husband, a fashion designer, distanced themselves after almost 28 years of marriage. Elizabeth Much, Loughin’s spokeswoman, confirms the separation: “You live separately and take a break in your marriage. There is currently no legal procedure.” The couple has two daughters together, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli.

The separation takes place after the two offered their villa in Hidden Hills for $ 16.5 million in February. The impressive property with a living space of around 1100 square meters had only acquired the couple for $ 9.5 million in August 2020 – at a time when their lives were already overshadowed by a scandal.


The college scandal and its consequences

In May 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli guilty of committing and post-fraud. They had paid $ 500,000 to give their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose a place at the University of Southern California. The two girls were incorrectly shown as rudder recruiters, although none of them had ever exercised the sport.

Loughlin was sentenced to two months in prison, her husband for five months. The actress was released prematurely in December 2020 after she had almost completely served her punishment. A dark chapter that initially brought Loughlin’s career to a standstill.




Slow return to the spotlight

After the scandal, Loughlin worked back into the television business step by step. In December 2021 she again took on the role of the Abigail Stanton in “When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas”, a branch of “Janette Oke: The Coal Valley Saga”. Further projects followed: In January 2023 she was in front of the camera for the television film “In love in winter” alongside James Tupper (60). In November of the same year she was seen in “A Christmas Blessing”.


In the series “Let it, Larry!” Loughe played an oversubscribed version of herself and made fun of her entanglement into the college scandal. She recently also had guest appearances in “Blue Bloods – Crime Scene New York” and “On Call”.

Lori Loughin: “I try to be a forgiving person”

In April 2024, Loughlin gave her first major interview since the scandal. she did not talk directly about the events at that time, but her words about forgiveness and progress showed a deep look. “I try to be a forgiving person. I am not someone who holds on things. Everyone happens to everyone. We were all in situations in which we had to ask for forgiveness,” she said at the time.

She emphasized that nobody was perfect and every mistake. “You have to be able to let go of things, because you can’t stick to negativity. Life is too short,” said the actress. In her parents’ home it was not common to be resentful or not to forgive mistakes. She shaped this attitude and helps her deal with the ups and downs of life.
