On Sunday, ZDF repeats the episode “The Dream Ship: Hawaii” from 2018 in Primetime. This means that fans have a special reunion, because it is the penultimate film with the Munich actor Sascha Hehn, 70, as Captain Victor Burger.
He took over the role in early 2014 by actor Siegfried Rauch (1932-2018). Sascha Hehn left “The Dream Ship” with the 2019 New Year’s success after 13 missions on the high seas. The farewell came as a surprise to many. Florian Silbereisen, 43, took a seat on the command bridge as captain Max Parger. What has Sascha Hehn actually been doing since then?
Sascha Hehn: Withdrawal from the TV business
After leaving the “dream ship”, Sascha Hehn first pulled back from the spotlight. In interviews, he emphasized that he wanted to take more time for private and new projects. Occasionally, the native of Munich, who was already in front of the camera as a child and wrote television history with series such as “The Black Forest Clinic”, appeared at readings or as a guest on talk shows, but he has not had larger series or film roles since 2018.
