Sex offender and ex-singer Ian Watkins was killed in prison. His former girlfriend has now spoken about it. Your grief is limited.

The former singer of the Welsh band Lostprophets died on Saturday after an attack. His ex-girlfriend Joanne Mjadzelics has now spoken out.
She was “waiting for the call”
“This is a big shock, but I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner. I’ve always been waiting for this call,” .
Watkins became a target on his first day in prison. She also stated that she was afraid of Watkins’ release from prison. She was always afraid that he would be released and find her, explained Joanne Mjadzelics.
She helped convict the perpetrator at the time and still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to this day. “The man I fell in love with never existed. He manipulated me, and the man who died in prison today was a stranger to me. I never loved him, he was just playing a role,” she says.
Two men apparently involved in killing of Ian Watkins
Convicted child sex offender Watkins was attacked and fatally injured in prison on October 11, citing sources at HMP Wakefield prison. Watkins was sentenced to 29 years in prison – plus six years of probation – for child abuse in 2013.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said a murder investigation had been launched at the prison following the death of a man on Saturday. A 48-year-old was found with serious injuries and died on site.
Two men, aged 25 and 43, are in custody on suspicion of murder. An attack on Watkins was reported as early as the summer of 2023, but he did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
