The Marvel protagonist lives in a historic house that he remodeled and it is as unique as his personality.
The beloved and acclaimed actor Robert Downey Jr. chose a place very particular to enjoy with your family. The Iron Man actor and his wife, the producer Susan Downeytransformed an old windmill into their home, where they live with his three children: Indio, Avril and Exton.
The house is located in West Hamptonone of the corners most exclusive in New York state and it is a visual spectacle, as it mixes the details of a construction from 1885 with modern comforts and artistic decorations that expose the personality of the actor.

The imposing building, known as Edward DeRose Windmillpreserves its original structure, but inside it became a new space. With more than 800 square metersthe house has spacious rooms, designed for family life.
Downey and his wife entrusted the remodeling to the designer Joe Nahemwho maintained the artisanal spirit of the property. In the center of the house there is a giant living room with a chimney created by the ceramic artist Peter Lane. Every corner of the mansion has some personal touch from the actor, for example, in the master bedroom an artistic photograph of the couple hangs above a bed.

Outside there is a almost Olympic poolan outdoor bar, a seating area with lounge chairs and a giant cinema-style screen. The actor assured in an interview that his intention was to create a happy and unusual place. As he said, he and his wife were looking for a house that reflected their creative spirit and that felt different from any other.
Downey bought the mill in 2017 by 11.9 million dollars and since then he adapted it to his taste, investing in art and unique details that transformed the building.
