The hit survival thriller series Paramount+, Yellowjacketswill come to an end with its next season.
The news was announced over the weekend by the creators of the series, Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. While the date for season four has yet to be announced, Lyle and Bart have confirmed that the upcoming season will be the last.
They wrote in a statement posted on social media: “After three incredible seasons and great consideration, we are pleased to announce that We’ll take the Yellowjackets story to its twisted end in this fourth and final season.. “We always knew there would come a time when history would tell us that it wants to end, and we believe that our job, our responsibility, is to listen.”
They continued: “Telling this emotional, wild and deeply human story has been a deeply meaningful experience and a true honor for us, and we are so grateful to the brilliant cast, crew and writers who have bravely joined us to bring it to life. Above all, we want to thank the fans who have been with us through every moment, mystery and meal. The Hive is nothing without you! We can’t wait to share the final chapter with you and hope you find it… delicious”.
