In the Linz State Theater blog, Christian Higer, a member of the acting ensemble since 2017, says when asked what makes him embarrassed: “When I’m praised.” The Salzburg native was showered with praise for his portrayal of Karl Anton Winter in “The Escape” by Lida Winiewicz and Ernst Waldbrunn (director: David Bösch). Higer could be particularly embarrassed at the Nestroy Theater Awards on November 23rd, where he is nominated in the “best actor” category. Higer can be seen in the production at the Linzer Schauspielhaus until February.
One of his four competitors is the Steyr-born Martin Niedermair (as Eric Glass in “The Legacy” in Josefstadt). Nils Artzmann, Jörg Ratjen and Nick Romeo Reimann are also nominated.
