Maine as a source of inspiration
Stephen King She was born and continues to live in Maine, the state that inspired many of her stories, including IT and Carrie, The Stranger. The old houses, dense forests and quiet streets typical of the region served as the basis for creating Derry and help build the calm (and tense) atmosphere that dominates the new series.
A cycle of terror that repeats itself every 27 years
