How to make a bean bag with recycled plastic bottles
To manufacture a resistant and modern poufthe following materials are needed:
- 6 empty plastic bottles (same size).
- packing tape (to join the bottles).
- Cardboard (for the base and lid).
- Foam (to give comfort).
- Fabric (for the final coating).
- Thread and needle (or sewing machine).
- Glue to stick (optional, to fix the foam).
Step by step to assemble the pouf:
- Join the bottles: Group them three in three with duct tape to form a stable base. Then, join the two resulting groups until creating a compact block.
- Fix the cardboard: Place a cardboard base at the bottom and another at the top of the bottle block. Secure them with adhesive tape to give firmness to the structure.
- Add comfort: Cover the block of bottles with foam and glue it with glue. This step improves the comfort of the pouf. You can also add a additional cushion for greater softness.
